Conformally Coated PC Boards
All Clarion Marine source units have had their
circuit boards coated with HumiSeal. This is a
non-cunductive product developed to protect
electronic components being used in harsh
environments from damage due to moisture. This
coating is one of the many reasons why Clarion
Marine source units meet the ASTM B117 Salt/
Fog Exposure specification.
USB Ports
The CMV1, CMD6, M309 and CMS1 all feature
a USB port located on a pigtail on the rear of the
source unit (or hideaway box). You can listen to
all your favorite MP3 and WMA files by simply
copying them to a simple USB stick and plugging
it into the unit. The CMV1, CMD6 and M309 will
even play AAC files from the USB stick, so your
iTunes collection is ready to go, even without your
iPod.
USB iPod Audio Direct
The CMV1, CMD6 and M309 make it easier than
ever to enjoy the music on your iPod. Simply
connect the 30-Pin Dock Port to USB cable that
came with your iPod to the USB port on the rear
of the radio and you can enjoy all your music with
simplicity and ease.
Clarion offers the CCAUSB (USB Extension) cable
to provide easy access to the USB port on the
rear of our marine source units. Simply drill a 3/4"
hole where you want to location the CCAUSB,
slide it in and tighten the mounting screw on the
back. Once connected to the USB port on the
rear of the source unit, you have easy access.
Auxiliary Inputs
All Clarion marine entertainment units include
at least one auxiliary input. This means you can
connected external audio sources such as portable
satellite radio tuners, DVD players, computers or
high-end Navigation and chartplotting systems.
The CMD6 includes a pair of rear RCA pigtails to
let you connect two sources. The CMV1 includes
an audio input, as well as an A/V input. The
M309 and M109 have their auxiliary input right
on the front panel of the source unit. You can
connect a portable music player easily with out
CCUAUXEX1 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable. For
units with rear RCA auxiliary inputs, Clarion offers
the CCAAUX 3.5mm to RCA cable. A 3/4" hole is
all that's required for mounting.
Bluetooth Ready
The CMV1, CMD6 and M309 are Bluetooth
ready. Simply connect the BLT370 and enjoy
high quality streaming audio from your portable
