not require a constant power connection. This
means, when you turn off your boat's ignition,
the CMS1 doesn't draw any current. This means
there is no chance of a dead battery.
The CMS1 is the perfect solution for boats that
don't have room for a conventional source unit or
for harsh enciroments.
Feature Details
APX-5 Rated Water-Resistant Escutcheon
The front panel of the CMV1 and
CMD6 feature a flip-down design that can
withstand a 65 gallon stream of water from a
1-inch diameter hose at 10 feet for 5 minutes.
This design eliminates concerns of water damage
caused by rain, splashes, and wash downs. This
design gives the user one-touch easy loading
of CDs. You can rest assured of long lasting
moisture protection with at least 10,000 duty
cycles for durability.
IPX-1 Rated Stainless Steel Chassis
The CMV1, CMD6 and M309 all feature a stainless
steel chassis design to prevent water from entering
the the radio and damaging the circuitry inside.
Should there be a leak above the radio (from
a window or instrument cluster , for example),
water will simply run off the sides and back of
the radio. We have included a drip shield over the
wire harness connection to further reduce the risk
of water being able to infiltrate the radio.
Marine Audio – Technologies
M309
The M309 is a standard DIN-sized AM/FM CD/
USB marine receiver that is far from standard. It
features our stainless steel rear chassis for the
best in water intrusion protection.
Many companies transform their regular
automobile source units into marine source units
by simply painting them white and using a
reverese LCD display. Clarion takes this one
step further with a dedicated marine optical
transport - tuned to the low frequency vibration
characteristics commonly associated with
activities on the water.
The M309 (as well as the CMD6, and CMV1) are
Satellite Radio Ready. You can add either Sirius
or XM Satellite Radio by plugging in the tuner and
interface of your choice. Sat Radio functionality
is fully integrated into the units control functions.
This makes for a simpler, safer and more reliable
installation as compared to external units being
used with an auxilliary input.
M109
The M109 may be Clarion's entry level marine
source unit, but it is far from entry level. The M109
features MP3 and WMA playback with ID3 Tag
display, a 4-channel preamp output and a front
panel auxilliary input for easy system expansion.
The M109 is IR remote ready (optional) and still
features a HumiSeal coated circuit board for
extended life on the water.
CMS1
The CMS1 represents an entirely new and
unique source unit category for marine and harsh
environment applications. This two piece system
is comprised of an IPX-6 rated command center
and a hide-way brain module.
The CMS1 is an AM/FM/ Weather Band Digital
Media receiver with a built-in 40Wx4 amplifier,
USB Port, iPod interface port, Sirius SSP Direct
port, an auxilliary input and a preamp output.
Also unique to the CMS1 is it's electrical design. It
uses an EEPROM to store information, so it does
